Why is my business not showing on Google Maps in Nigeria?

Almost always one of three reasons: the profile was never verified, the address is written in a way Google cannot place on its map, or the business name does not match the signboard. Until a profile is verified it will not appear in the local results customers actually see.

How do I verify my business on Google in Nigeria?

Google will ask you to prove the business is real, usually by video. The video must show your signboard, the street and surroundings, the inside of the premises, and proof that you run it — opening the till, unlocking a store room or handling stock. Postcard verification is unreliable in Nigeria because the cards often never arrive.

Why was my Google Business Profile suspended?

The most common cause is putting keywords in the business name — for example “Best Phone Store Enugu” instead of the registered name. Others include a wrong category, an address that cannot be confirmed, no permanent signage, or making many edits quickly after verification. Suspended profiles can usually be recovered through an appeal.

How long does Google verification take?
